Dr. KC Ang graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School in 1990. He obtained his surgical fellowship from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1995 and after completing his Advanced Orthopaedic Training became the first of his cohort to obtain the FRCS Ed (Orth) in 2000. The FRCS Ed (Orth) is a Diploma of Higher Surgical training in Orthopaedic surgery awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has done clinical fellowships in Knee and Sports Medicine in the UK as well as Shoulder and Elbow surgery in Melbourne, Australia. Dr Ang is the Postgraduate Director of the Specialist Training Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery and in this capacity is responsible for the training requirements of all Advanced trainees in Orthopaedic surgery in Singapore. Dr Ang remains a Visiting Consultant to the National University Hospital and returns to perform Complex Knee Shoulder and Sports surgery. He is also actively involved in the management of osteoarthritis and joint diseases and is a strong proponent of computer aided and minimally invasive joint replacement surgery.
